BBM Me is the weekly party dedicated to bringing the fun and a dash of glamour back to the weekend. Presenting an electrifying ultra flamboyant party experience, this week we present gender bending DJ supremo POPCOX and his special guest DJ Cosmic Disco from Space Invader Radio.

Expressing the spirit of the party through appearance as well as the music selection, POPCOX offers something unique; energetic, charismatic and creative with wide appeal to a variety of scenes and communities from clubbers to gays, straights, the trans and fetish communities, outright weirdos and even those normal people who may cross his path.

January’s special guest DJ is someone Pops discovered last year on Mixcloud. Anyone who had seen her excited rantings on Cosmic Disco’s mixes in the last quarter of 2011 will know just how excited he is about Cosmic’s style and music taste.

Cosmic Disco has been playing on and off over two decades, cutting his teeth during the late acid house early outdoor rave scene. His musical styles have stretched and flexed over the years from Chicago house to hardcore to deep German techno via breaks and DnB. Currently he runs a monthly show on Space Invader Radio exploring the deeper house and disco re-edit world. You can find the last couple of years worth of his monthly show on his Cosmic Disco Mixcloud profile. His latest show have taken him full circle back to some of the classic house sounds of the late 80’s and early 90’s but always with a huge nod the disco sounds of old.
