31st Dec 2008 - Pushca ‘A Fairytale Most Grimm’ New Years Eve Party @ a secret location in London
As many of you know, I am very anti-New Year’s Eve, why? Because promoters get greedy, let too many people into clubs and charge you the earth to go to the same clubs to hear the same DJs play and jammed in with a load of arseholes who don’t normally go out and don’t know how to behave. As a result, over the years I’ve been involved in a whole host of smaller underground New Years Eve events to ensure us regulars and all the nice people have a belting good time at a reasonable cost or, as with last year a riotous free party. I wouldn’t take a NYE booking lightly, even if I did I would be reserved about promoting it to my party faithful unless it was very, very special.
Pushca, the champagne of clubbing brands, world renowned for party production qualities that are second to none, approached yours truly earlier this year to play at their ‘Denim Vendetta’ party in May. Pushca pride themselves in always choosing exclusive and interesting non-club venues to host their themed parties, this one being no exception taking place in a mansion off Regent Street. Popping my Pushca cherry was an absolutely fabulous experience with a delightful mixed crowd of dressed up party people and an incredibly well stocked free bar all night, it was definitely one of the highlights of the year so far.
Pushca have invited me back to play their ‘A Fairytale Most Grimm’ New Years Eve extravaganza here in London. With a theme of ‘Brothers Grimm’ fairytale fancy dress, 2 sound systems, 4 bars, 800 capacity (comfortably, not jam packed) and the prospect of them building a forest inside the venue meant I unsurprisingly bit their hand off at the chance of playing! Hmm, now what to wear!
I have a limited number of tickets available but be warned Pushca events always sell out extremely quickly let a lone their NYE event.
Early bird tickets are currently £30 and will increase the later you leave it. Email me via the ‘get in touch’ link in the menu on the left side of this page. xx
